Lisa Guide

Lisa Guide HeadshotLisa chairs the Women Effect Action Fund advisory board. Lisa is an Associate Director of the Rockefeller Family Fund, joining in 2002. Prior, she was founder and executive director of a nonprofit strategic communications firm, but most of her career has been spent in government and politics. Lisa was in federal service for all eight years of President Clinton’s administration, serving in a variety of positions at the Interior Department and the White House. These included acting Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Policy, Management and Budget and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and International Affairs. Lisa also served two years at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She spent eight years working in politics and government in New Jersey, as state communications director of the 1992 Clinton presidential campaign and communications director for the N.J. State Attorney General. Lisa also serves as a foundation representative on the Board of Trustees of the Democracy Alliance. Lisa is a frequent commentator on the role care economy issues like paid family and medical leave, paid sick days and affordable elder and childcare play in driving elections, especially for women voters. Fran Rodgers

Fran is a member of the Women Effect Action Fund advisory board, Vice Chair of the Democracy Alliance and was the founder and CEO of WFD. Established in 1983 to assist employers in responding to the changing workforce, WFD pioneered the development of a new generation of employee benefits and consulting and research services, especially addressing the needs of women. Fran has served on many corporate and not-for-profit boards including NARAL, Progressive Majority and Harvard-related hospitals and health services. She is a fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources and a national winner of the Ernst & Young/Inc Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Anna Fink

Anna is a member of the Women Effect Action Fund advisory board Executive Director of the Amalgamated Foundation, where she leads the foundation’s grant-making and donor advised fund services. Anna began her career as an organizer and has 20 years of experience in public policy advocacy and philanthropy. She has developed and led major philanthropic efforts focused on women, immigrants’ rights and democracy and justice. She served as a senior advisor on innovation and philanthropy to the president of the AFL-CIO, and has built collaborative funding efforts supporting social justice and workers rights. Anna was a trustee of the Berger-Marks Foundation and currently serves on the boards of the National Employment Law Project, The Workers Lab and New Media Ventures. She was named a 2019 Philanthropy Forward fellow by the Aspen Institute and Neighborhood Funders Group.

Phoebe Kilgour

Phoebe is the Communications Director at the Women Effect Action Fund. Previously, she was the Press Secretary at Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country, where she oversaw communication efforts on the organization’s state campaigns and led communication strategy development and execution during critical rapid response moments. Prior to joining Everytown, Phoebe was a Vice President at Spitfire Strategies, a communication firm that works exclusively with nonprofits and foundations, where she partnered with organizations to create and implement effective communication and campaign strategies on issues including reproductive rights, economic justice and environmental protection.
